  • Q: Will they work on a MAC system?
A: Not at this time. We have been searching for a program that will allow MAC users to be able to use Windows cursor files but haven't found any to date. These cursors work with Windows 95/98/ME/XP & Win2000.

  • Q: What’s the difference between CD and Internet Download? Is either easier to install?
A: The files & install process for both the Download version and those on the disk are identical. The advantage to having the disk version is you'll have a ready backup in case of computer problems and you have to reinstall your cursors.

  • Q: I'm computer illiterate - can I do this?
A: It's actually pretty simple and we include in-depth, detailed, step-by-step instructions with both the e-mail and floppy disk versions. You are always welcome to e-mail me if you still have problems/questions.

  • Q: Can I copy the Downloaded files to my own CD or floppy disk?
A: Yes, you are encouraged to make one copy the Downloaded files for personal backup purposes only.

  • Q: Can I make copies & give to my friends and family? Can I sell them?
A: In a word, NO to all of the above - this violates the limits of our copyright restrictions. We adhere to U.S. & International copyright laws and will fully pursue violations.

  • Q: I want to order but can I just call you or e-mail you with my Credit Card number?
A: We currently accept Visa/MC/Discover/AmExpress ONLY through a secure server at Paypal. We also accept checks or Money Orders. If you prefer to mail in your order with a check or Money Order you may use our printable order form here.

  • Q: I ordered the Internet Download version but haven't received any information from you! How long should I wait?
A: I usually send out paid orders within hours but, as this is a small home-based business, there are times when I can't get to them immediately. I state that you should allow 24-hours for the e-mail with your download info (though it usually won't take near that long).  If it has been longer than 24-hours you are encouraged to contact me as there could be a problem with sending the information to you. I have received numerous e-mails returned as the address was old or out of date and not reachable. Sometimes, sending e-mail to "official" addys such as .gov & .edu is often not allowed and may also cause problems with e-mail delivery.

  • Q: I put the CD in but nothing happens - what's wrong?
    A:
Probably nothing is wrong. Should your CD not start automatically, please follow these steps:Click on the "My Computer" symbol on the desktop or start Windows Explorer.- Right click on the CD ROM symbol in the My Computer window - Click on "AutoPlay" to start the install process.

  • Q: I have Windows XP/Win2000 & I followed the instructions but I can't find my new cursors in the "cursor" folder when I go to choose my new doggie cursors! Where are they?
    A:
The default cursor folder for XP and 2000 may be different than for Win98/ME. When "browsing" from the pointer window make SURE you browse to the C:\Windows\Cursors folder and not C:\WINNT\Cursors folder. Confusing as the default place the computer looks in is the "cursor" folder BUT the "cursor" folder's location varies from system to system. Your new Dog cursors unzip to C:\Windows\Cursors regardless of the system... You may see "cursors" when you "browse" but when you click the little arrow on the right you will see it is inside of WINNT folder or something similar but not the "WINDOWS" folder. Just click on C drive then go and open the "Windows" folder then the "Cursors" folder inside of that - your new doggie cursors should be in there.

  • Q: Everything is installed but I don't see the animated dog cursor very often - what's wrong?
A: With the newer, ever faster computers, they don't stay in the "busy" or "working in background" modes very long.  I have found that installing the animated cursor for BOTH the "busy" AND "working in background" cursors will allow you to see your animated pup a lot more!

  • Q: Do you sell Wholesale?
A: Yes, provided you have a valid business license/tax ID#. Please contact us for details.
We also offer special prices to non-profit dog clubs wishing to re-sell the cursors as fund raisers.

  • Q: I am involved with a dog breed rescue club. We often have fundraisers. Do you ever donate your cursors?
A: YES! We wholeheartedly support rescue organizations.  We have been home to rescued dogs ourselves. We have donated to numerous breed rescue clubs as well as shelters. We also offer special prices to non-profit dog clubs wishing to re-sell the cursors as fund raisers. Please contact us for details.

  • Q: Can I use the cute doggie graphics on your website for my homepage?
    A:
The graphics displayed on these pages are my original artwork (unless otherwise noted). They are free for use by anyone on their personal (non-commercial) home page provided copyright info is posted (ie: "copyright by OverTheFence, All Rights Reserved"). They may NOT be modified in any way or used in any background, graphics, clipart, cursor and/or animation collections. Nor is their use authorized for any off-computer use. Please contact me for commercial rates.

  • Q: I lost the installation directions - How do I install?
A: Click HERE to view the install instructions.

  • Q: Can you make a custom cursor of MY dog?
    A:
We are concentrating on creating the multitude of different dog breeds and are not able to take on custom work at this time - sorry...

  • Q: Do you have other cursors, like cats, horses etc?
    A:
At this time we are working strictly on creating as many dog breeds as possible. Perhaps we will add other animals in the future though.

  • Q: When will you have my breed (color, variety...)?
    A:
We create different breeds all the time but you are welcome to contact us and let us know which breed (color, variety etc...) you are interested in seeing added. We will contact you when it is available.  If we get a large number of requests for a particular breed we will probably add that sooner.
